Guru Nanda helps farmers succeed on a large scale, empowering them to support their families and strengthen their communities. Thanks to these close relationships with our farmers, we also attain generational knowledge, insights, and techniques that have been passed down over hundreds of years.
The first thing we look for is the locations where our source plants flourish. We then work directly with the farming communities, cut out the middlemen, and provide the farmers with a fair trade price.
We specifically choose locations where we can make a positive impact on the social, economic, and environmental aspects of the community. This gives us the opportunity to help communities rise above poverty and promote overall economic development. Our CEO directly helps teach children that are in need.

How does Guru Nanda give back?
Job Creation
Through Guru Nanda’s partnerships with farming communities, we are able to create ethical, sustainable employment in underdeveloped regions. These collaborations lead to better income security and economic growth for the local society.
Fair Payment
Guru Nanda and its farmers collaborate in order to improve the quality of working conditions and keep farmers happy. Part of the reason why we are able to get the best essential oils on planet earth is that we provide our farmers with a fair payment. By working together, we create a progressive ecosystem of happy farmers, happy communities, and ultimately, happy customers.
Community Partnerships
Guru Nanda has been building communal relationships for years. Along the way, we’ve discovered different ways we can build partnerships that help to support those in need. For example, Guru Nanda is a current supporter of:

Ethical Farming Standards
When it comes to farming, there are many aspects to consider. We ask questions such as: “What kind of technology is used here?” and “What measures are taken to minimize greenhouse gas emissions?” We then work with the farmers to ensure that everyone is paid fairly, renewable energy technologies are being used, and the farm is being sustainably managed.

500 Letters A Personal Story from Guru “Puneet” Nanda
When you’re living in the 21st century with all of the technological amenities you could imagine, it’s easy to forget that some people are struggling to get food in their bellies. I had a wake-up call of my own when I visited an orphanage housing 30 boys and 10 girls between 4 and 17 years of age. We committed to sponsoring a weekly lunch at this special orphanage, and I had the opportunity to meet and talk with many of the children living there. I was humbled by their stories. There was one boy’s story that particularly touched my heart. At the age of 5, the boy’s mother passed away. His father then remarried, dropped the boy off at this very orphanage, and never returned. The boy, now 8 years old, has written over 500 letters to his parents. I was so moved by the story, I couldn’t even read what he had written.
