ASK PUNEET: WHY INFUSE BLACK SEED OIL WITH VITAMIN D3 AND K2?

Dear Friends,

After my last blog post about how my GuruNanda Cold Pressed Black Seed Oil can support your weight loss journey, many of you wrote in to ask me an excellent question – if black seed oil is so great on its own, why add vitamins D3 and K2 to the mix?

Before I get into that, I do want to remind you that while many people take black seed oil to support weight loss, it has many other benefits as well. Black seed oil is an excellent addition to your beauty regimen, as it may support more vibrant and healthy-looking nails,  hair, and most of all, skin. This includes treating acne, the effects of psoriasis and vitiligo (pigmentation in the skin), the presence of eczema, and even promoting wound healing. This is perhaps due to the ability of black seed oil to potentially spread melanin in the skin – a natural type of pigment found not just in your skin, but your hair and eyes as well.

But that’s not all. It seems that black seed oil may improve blood sugar levels in people with diabetes. And studies in animals have also suggested that black seed oil could be even used to stop the growth of tumors.

So with all these benefits, why add anything else? Read on to learn why I added vitamins D3 and K2 to my black seed oil, and how to take my oil blend to get the best results.

WHY TAKE VITAMINS D3 and K2?

A very important but often overlooked part of overall wellness is having strong bones. Bones not only protect your organs, but they allow you to move freely and safely.  Your bones are made of two things: collagen and calcium. Collagen is a protein that provides a soft framework for your bones, whereas calcium is a mineral that adds strength and hardness.

A common myth is that bones are simply dead tissue that does not grow or change. This could not be further from the truth. Your bones are living tissue, just like every other organ in your body. And as you get older, minerals start to leak out of your bones, causing them to become brittle and prone to fractures and breakages. This is why it is more common for elderly people to break bones than for younger people – and why elderly people have a harder time healing these breakages.

This is where vitamins K2 and D3 come in. They are each very beneficial on their own – vitamin K2 regulates normal blood clotting, whilst D3 supports a healthy immune system and robust muscle function. Taken together, however, their benefits multiply. In tandem, K2 and D3 ensure that calcium is absorbed easily and reaches the bone mass, while preventing arterial calcification (a dangerous buildup of calcium around the heart that can lead to heart attacks or heart failure).

The reason I chose to put K2 and D3 into my black seed oil is that, as I mentioned, black seed oil can support weight loss. Sometimes, when losing large amounts of weight, bone mass can decrease. Having extra support for calcium absorption from K2 and D3 can make a world of difference – supporting weight loss without the potential negative side effects of weaker bones.

WHY IS GURUNANDA BLACK SEED OIL BETTER THAN THE REST?

In addition to being fortified with 125 mcg of K2 and D3, GuruNanda Cold Pressed Black Seed Oil is made with only the highest-quality ingredients. The proof of this is in my oil’s GMP certification and non-GMO status, ensuring that all nutrients and present and unhealthy or added chemicals and ingredients are not. Better yet, I cold-press the oil to preserve the nutrients as fully as possible.

To enjoy all the benefits GuruNanda Cold Pressed Black Seed Oil has to offer, shake the bottle well before use. Take 1 dropper full (1 ml) 1-2 times daily, with or without water. Hold the liquid under the tongue for about 10 seconds before swallowing.

I am very proud of my black seed oil and enjoy taking it twice daily as part of my wellness regimen. I hope you will give it a try too.

Namaste,

Puneet
